  • Changing a sequence from anamophic to not….

    Hi list,

I hope someone can help me with a question. I edited JVC HD media in an NTSC sequence with the anamorhic option checked, so I have letterbox which I don’t want.

Is there anyway I can create a new sequence without anamophic checked and still use my edit.

Right now when I copy and paste the existing sequence, it becomes stretched.

Is there a way I can use xml or any other too to recreate the edit in a the new unamorphic sequence and eliminate the letterbox?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

    Warmest,

    Kevin

So what you want is Letter-boxed (16×9 on top of a 4×3 screen) isn’t it?
Duplicate your sequence and un-check the Annamorphic.
Double click one of the clips in the time-line to open it in the viewer window.
In the Motion tab go to Distort. Change the Aspect ratio from 0 to 33. Now the clip look alright, no?
Now copy (Com-c) the clip in the time-line. Select all the clips and Option-V (Paste attributes) when the window open check “Distort”. All the clips should change to the new Aspect ratio. Thats all.
