  • Changing a power window shape using keyframes.

    Hi,

I’ve been using the tracker in both auto and manual mode with a rigid shape but is there any way to animate a polygon so that it changes shape under keyframe control. The tracker is great for following someone’s head until they turn a bit and then a gap appears which I can’t fix without permanently changing the window shape, even in Frame mode. After Effects masks will do it, so surely Resolve can as well.

    Thanks.

Tracker is independent of the key frames so you can use both of them at the same time. A general strategy is to track first and then use key frames to animate the window shape that tracker gave you. For certain cases you might want to use track interpolation in the tracker interface itself when you need to only tweak the motion and not the shape (p415 of manual)
