Changing a bitmap image to vector
Hi
I have bitmap logo that I’d like to work on it in After Effects (Invigorator).
I know it has to be vector + illustrator 8.0 and I’m saving it as .ai in illustrator but I’m geting this message all the time by this logo.
“There were no usabe vector paths in this file.”Thanks

There is no reliable /easy way to turn a complex raster logo into a vector.

saving an image in .ai format doesn’t make it vector. You’re getting that error because there are no paths… it is still just a bitmap image that you opened/saved with AI. Illustrator CS2 can make vector paths from rastor images, but since you’re using an older version, you would have to recreate the bitmap image in illustrator to get vector paths.
