I’m trying to apply markers to multiclips as a means of keeping track of questions in an interview (I’d prefer to subclip, but it appears you can’t do that in a multiclip). So I hit ‘M,M’ and I get a marker in my multiclip and a window opens to allow me to give the marker a name. I give it a name and close the window. I see the marker in the turndown for the clip in the bin. Fine.

Then I play more of the clip. At some point I choose to switch my angle preference from A to B so I can hear the interviewer’s microphone and when I go back to angle A, my marker is gone.

The same thing happens when I pot down the levels on three of the four tracks of an angle in multiclip. I adjust levels, switch from that angle to another and back and the levels are back where they were before I messed with them.

    Why, oh why, oh why?

Markers and volume changes do not stick in multiclip. They should, but they don’t.

You can try putting a marker in the timeline, but if you change the sequence, the marker will stay in the same place in the timeline, which pretty much renders it useless.
