  • Changed Seq from 23.98 to 29.97 – Lost all Graphics

I am working on a 23.98 project in FCP 6.0.1. I would like to change the editing timebase to 29.97.

My problem happens upon copying and pasting the project into a 29.97 sequence. Audio keyframe edits change a bit, but that is minor.

I have lost all graphics in my timeline. FCP titles as well as imported tiff files. Everything pasted into the timeline correctly: I can see the effects on the timeline, but they do not appear on screen.

I can even step into the FCP titles, select the “Controls” tab and see the text and settings exactly as they should be. They just do not appear on screen. Neither in the Viewer, nor Canvas windows.

Any ideas on how I can get out of rebuilding all of my graphics?

I’m on an old G5, using no video card.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi again.

Found that the opacity for all of my titles and graphics was set to “0.” So luckily, all graphics are there. I only have the task of copying and pasting the opacity attributes into each effect, from the 23.98 timeline. Much better than rebuilding altogether.

Still, the keyframed attributes not copying with the effects seems odd. Doesn’t it?
