Change stoke or fill simultaneously
Hi, does anyone know of a way to change the stroke and fill simultaneously, depending on whether a stroke or fill exists?
For example, I have a graphic with a type label, and an arrow coming out. The type has a fill, the arrow has a stroke. I would like to change the color of both simultaneously, without adding a stroke or fill where one did not exists before.
I am aware I could expand, outline, etc. but I need to be able to retain the elements edit-ability.

I can’t think of a solution that meets that exact requirement, to do two appearances in one command.
Though a Graphic Style can apply a fill, stroke, and other effects in one operation, but it sounds like you would need 2 Graphic Styles.
Create an object with the desired attributes, then drag it into the Graphic Styles palette, and name it.Are you familiar with the Select > Same… commands? They might be useful.
- Select same fill color
- Select same stroke color
- Select same stroke weight
- etc..
Then possibly follow by using one of your custom Graphic Styles.

If you make the color a custom color, you can change it in the color palette.
