change start position of circular motion path
I created a circle in illustrator and copied it to the position of a layer. So far, so good. But the first keyframe doesn’t start at the original position of the layer. So the layer moved to a different position. How can I get the start position on the original place of the layer? Now the layer moves around a circle, but not the way I want it to do.
Can anyone help me with this? Thanks! -

There are two options you can do that:
1) change the layer’s anchor point
2) select all the positional keyframes (click on the layer, press P and click on the position property) now drag the layer to the desired position, all other keyframes will be adjusted accordinglyCheers

Thanks for your reply. But this is not really my point. I created a circular motion path. The first keyframe should be te one at the top of the circle, but that isn’t working. So I need to turn the motion path around. I used a shape from illustrator. What can I do to fix this?

I don’t have Illustrator so I cannot paste a path and check
so here are some suggestions:
1) precompose the layer and rotate the composition
2) Importing Paths into AE tutorial by Aharon Rabinowitz
3) Or this one also by Aharon Rabinowitz
4) Try rotating the path in Illustrator and then copying itGood luck

I found that if I make a cut in my AI path; that is where the AE animation will start.
