  • Change frame rate but same speed?

    Hi,

I have an animation with nested comps and even some prerendered stuff. I have it set on 29 fps but I would like to set it to 12 fps. What is the best way to do that?

if you just set the frame rate of the final comp to 12fps (or drop or final comp into a new 12fps comp), then all the animations in the other comps will be conformed to 12fps.

any rendered animations or footage elements will also be conformed to the new frame rate, but will drop frames out, which might make the animation seem a little ‘stuttery’. you can try enabling frame blending for those footage layers which can help that issue, but will increase render time and may introduce other issues (though it’s worth trying if needed).

But would it keep the same speed in the animation?

yes, the speed won’t be affected, just the frame rate will get conformed to the new frame rate.
