change frame rate
Dear COW,
How can I change the frame rate of an existing project in Motion?
The background is the following: I recently bought some templates/projects (from DJ to be precise) and they only make them available in HD@29.97 or 23.976. Most of my projects are in 25fps however (living in Europe).
Thus, I should like to change this to 25fps. But – how.

Create a project that is 25ps. Open up the template you like. Make sure the timing pane or project pane is open on both. Drag all of the groups from the original timing pane and drag it over to the new project and Motion will convert the frames for you.
I’ve never done this but you can also open up the project in the text editor and change the frame rate there.

Motion won’t let you change the frame rate of an existing composition.
Import it into one with the timing you want. I have no idea how it’ll handle timing and animation in general. Probably frame based.
Yup – just tested it. Its setup to be the ‘exact’ frame timing (ie the 125th frame is still the 125 frame, regardless of the fps)

DJ offers a Pal sized template. You have two chooses. HD or SD. You need to click on the SD one and then you will have 720 x 576 (25fps) as a choice. Best of luck.
