  • Change encoder to CCE, is possible?

Posted by Luca Carlomi on March 19, 2010 at 3:25 pm

Hi, I would like to encode my 20GB uncompressed DV AVI video with CCE SP2, but I can’t select it in the Encore CS4 options, nor in Adobe Media Encoder.

I would prefer not to use the default CCE interface (the final file size isn’t even accurate).

If I need another software, how can I automatically make the video size to fit perfectly on a DVD5 (having already encoded the audio in AC3 Dolby Digital)?

    Thanks in advance!

Try HC Encoder. It’s free, and the quality is just as good, and sometimes better than CCE.

You will need AVISynth to load your video though… not too big of a deal. Just install it, create a new .AVS file in the same directory as your video, edit it in notepad, and just add a quick script:

    AviSource(“uncompressed_master.avi”)

Thats it. Then just load the .avs file into HC Encoder. There are a few more settings in the program, but it should be pretty straight forward.
