Hi, I recently got Premiere Pro CS4 and have been using it instead of Final Cut. It’s been working great, but because the only footage I’ve edited with it has been from an HVX200, I haven’t actually had to capture footage from a tape until now. The problem is that when I try capturing it, the iSight camera on my Macbook Pro is somehow the primary source and I have no idea change it. I tried clicking the tape option, but then it just “captures” dropped frames until I stop it. Any ideas?

I am having the same problem. I cannot get Premiere Pro to recognize my camera rather than isight.

Nobody? I have another project where miniDV tapes were used and it is a pain to capture on someone else’s system then transfer it to mine, especially since not many people have CS4. The camera or deck I use isn’t recognized by Premiere or even iMovie. Just the iSight. I’ve googled for a while with no luck, so any help would be appreciated.
