Hey there. I am looking for a specific type of motion and am unsure of the best way to approach the problem. I’ve attached a screen recording.

Essentially I am trying to create a chain of squares at a diagonal that move and scale up and to the left. I started by parenting the squares in the top left corner and was thinking I could create an endless chain that way but as soon as I get to the 3rd object it for some reason takes on the parent value of the first object. Is this the right way of thinking in constructing this?

Also, What I think makes things complicated is that I kind of need the squares to grow to 100% of the smallest square size, then move to the middle and scale to the biggest size, then scale the opposite direction to the smallest square size, then scale to 0. In other words, the light blue square needs to hit the top left corner before beginning to scale down to 0. I also want the control to be able to stop the animation or make it pass through a few squares before stopping.

What also makes sense as a solution to me is making a chain of squares and adding an expression that scales them depending on their location. That to me sounds the easiest to manage but I have no idea where to start.

    Any help is appreciated!
