  • Chaging Parameters in MB Looks Filter

    Hi,

I have following problem – I use MB Looks in FCP for giving a look to a 60min Feature Film. I am mostly finished with the Grading. Now I want to change one feature – the TELECINE effect value inside my look. How can change that vvalue inside the looks of multiple clips at the same time (e.g. Pasting Attributes) without opening each edit state of each Look Filter in each clip seperately?
    Helps appreciated a lot.
    Thanx!

    Greetz,

    Sascha

    Hi Sascha,
Yes, paste attributes> filters. But before you have to remove the old filter from the clips.
Be careful, you can paste or remove filters that you don’t want to.

    HI Rafael,

the problem here is following: I want to just change one parameter inside the MagicBullet Looks Filter – in this case the value of the TELECINE percentage, not the replace the whole filter itsself – for that other values in different shots have different numbers. Anyway, that I can replace just that single value inside the Look Filter?

    Thanx

I understand there are other parameters that you want to keep different.
I’m afraid there is no way.

try to export as xml, and then modify the file in a text editor (eg. text wrangler). find the parameter mane and modify. in a text editor is simple to find a and modify many string at once. reimport the new file.

Sounds worth trying! THANX a lot. Where do I get such an editor from for MAc, or I can use a standard text editor in Mac OS?
