I’m having problems with the creation of .cfa and .pek files for the project I’m working on. At this point I’m just trying to organise the audio files, but when they conform or generate peak files nothing seems to happen. I’ve looked at other threads where people have complained of Prem Pro endlessly conforming, and have tried several of the solutions listed there. I’ve tried having the scratch disks in the same place as the project, in the default location of Documents/Adobe/PremierePro/5.0 and neither seems to work. I’ve also unticked ‘Save Media Cache files next to originals when possible’ and ‘Write XMP ID to Files on Import’ as has been suggested elsewhere.

In the particular project I’m using right now the audio consists of 6 files, half of which will play back, half of which won’t. This seems to have no correlation with which files are endlessly conforming. After checking the scratch disk locations again, I can’t actually find ANY .cfa or .pek files, despite PremPro saying that conforming has happened countless times.

Does anyone have ANY ideas of how to fix this? I’ve tried everything I can find on various help threads and nothing seems to work.

I’m having this same problem. Did you ever get it figured out?
