CE Shape Extruder Difficulties
I have encountered a problem in using Maltaannon’s custom effect Shape Extruder. I have used the CE several times, primarily for 3D text (which looks amazing for being self-contained within AE). However, on my current project I am having trouble generating any extrusion for my shape layer. I have examined the project files from the Shape Extruder tutorial to see if there were any differences in what I’m attempting. The sole difference is that my shape layer is using a mask path to create the actual shape whereas there were no masks in any of Maltaannon’s project file shape layers; they were simply drawn. Is the extruder not able to interpret the mask or is there something else I’m missing here? Perhaps this quirk has been addressed elsewhere or someone might have a potential solution; either way I would greatly appreciate any kind of direction you have to offer.
