Hi, i need to treat some dv footage to make it look like cctv footage. ideally the client wants some actual cctv footage so i can match it as closely as possible. anyone know where i can download some?

    cheers

I’m not sure about sourcing CCTV reference, but I am also looking for a strategy to achieve several different ‘security camera’ looks.

I’ve been told there was a ‘video look’ plug-in (final effects?)
but I’ve been unable to confirm this. Any alternatives to this?
    Thanks folks!

well, i’ve been using badtv in tinderbox 3, which is great. but the client wants to be the judge of how accurate it is.

A yahoo search for CCTV images brought out quite a number of results. They seem to have a green tinge and quite a bit of noise although there are varying levels of quality.

For noise, HSV Noise does a good job as you can adjust the size of the noise. For the greenish effect, there are lots of choices available. You may also want to mess about with Posterize Time to lower the fps to mimic a poor recording.
