Have CC3 & CC4 v.4.01 I use to have a TV monitor to watch the video out of the timeline. In CC3 there is no problem but in CC4 I have been trying all and couldn’t find a way (using the video card Svideo output) Only way is using the cam player 1394 way back.

How I can get this feature back like in CC3??
    Thanks in advance.

Neither CS3 nor CS4 can use your S/Video out, but Windows can send the entire monitor out to a TV. This is done in Display Properties>Settings. The picture is typically poor.
The 1394 output is designed for editing and sends only the Program Monitor out to TV.

Yeah, Mike, thanks for your response. That’s what I want. Meaning through Windows or through the video card I want to watch the full screen timeline on my TV monitor.
What happens is: same PC same hardware am able to see if I use CC3 but not CC4, thus there is “something” that impeding/limit this feature within CC4.
Through 1394 I have to leave the cam-player always on too. Anyway I can’t see any difference in quality using either method because is not an HD monitor though. There is have to be another way.

Humm. if I could find where in CC3 is this instruction to copy/paste into CC4!!

Both CS3 and CS4 will out put to the NTSC monitor. In CS3 you had to have you monitor connected with an S-Video cable and opt for Acclereated GPU Effects to make the Premiere program monitor out put to the NTSC TV monitor. In CS4 for realtime preview playback you do not have that option. You instead select the external monitor listed under devices. I get very little realtime with CS4. CS3 was much better. It still works just not as good. CS4 works much better with Vista 64 bit as opposed to XP 32 bit.

If you notice less RT let Adboe know it to. I like PP CS3 better myself.
