    Hi all,

been experiencing an irritating issue with CC2015; When I use either ripple or roll tool in the timeline, I experience a lengthy pause of around 12 seconds or so while the program screen displays the two edit points. During this time I cannot playback or scrub through the timeline but I *can* still move the playback marker using the mouse. I’m on a Z600 dual processor running Win 10, triple monitor setup using an nVidia GTX760. System drive is SSD, video files are on a single 2tb drive and I have a third drive acting as scratch. Would welcome any pointers on the issue.

Incidentally, I still have CC2014 on my system for shared legacy projects, this issue doesn’t happen with that.

    Thanks all!

Unfortunately there are a lot of CC2015 issues that seem to have the same story (“it doesn’t happen in CC2014”)

It’s why I always keep the earlier versions and never install over the top of the previous one…and rarely move to the newest drop for actual work as these updates are becoming very rapid, and I can’t help but question if there is indeed enough time for thorough testing in every case.

My personal recommendation: stick with CC2014 if it’s working properly and give CC2015 some time to be patched.

    Hi…

check the wrench menu in the timeline…

see if “Composite Preview during trim” is enabled.

if it is, try disabling it, and see if that helps…

That fixed it! I’d never have worked that out. Thanks!
