cc Turn Page question
Posted by Yann Vautrin on January 13, 2013 at 2:00 pmHi everybody,
Quite new with AE, I am working on a project about travel where i have to do the classic “3D book effect”.
On my comp, I have 3 layers (in this order on the comp:
book_right_page
book_left_page
book_openI placed the “CC Turn Page” effect on layer “book_right_page”
My problem is that when I “flip” the page, I want to have the next left page on the back, but i can not figure out how to do it…
Any solutions/suggestions?
Thanks!

January 13, 2013 at 2:40 pmPrecomp the “next” page, open the precomp and change the scale of the page to be (-100,100), effectively flipping the page. In your main comp change the pulldown for “Backpage” to the precomp. You will have to adjust the fold position(most likely to -90) and and animate the fold position.

January 13, 2013 at 2:48 pmHere you go.
1. Created a comp with a layer that is your top page. Apply CC Page Turn to it.
2. Create a layer that is the back side. Turn off its visibility. And in the CC Page effect select this as the back page.
3. Precomp these layers and place it over what ever you want reveal with the page turn.
4. Screen shot for analysis

January 13, 2013 at 4:36 pmThanks to both of you for your answers, but it still does not work…
the “Backpage” becomes invisible when crossing the middle of the transition….
@John : I do not see my precomp in the “Backpage” drop down…

January 13, 2013 at 8:15 pmOh you want THAT kind of page turn. 😀 I was describing the full screen page turn as opposed to the Book Page Turn. I did a demo of it that I can send you with You Send It if your are interested in analyzing what I did. It is a different approach then what you have been told previously.
