CC Time Blend
Posted by Ryan Kuntz on June 17, 2008 at 7:52 pmI applied CC Time Blend to a video clip along with some other Fx’s and it looks fine when I ram preview but when I render it out and import it into Avid, all the effects are there except CC Time Blend.
That’s impossible right? Anybody know what’s going on?

how about if you import it back into ae or view it in a player, do you see the effect then?

June 17, 2008 at 9:41 pmmake sure the effect is enabled for that layer or within the comp (make sure the ‘fx’ for the effect checkbox is on). some times those can get unchecked, which then makes it disabled.

June 18, 2008 at 12:44 pmYeah, it’s on. It shows up in the Ram preview. I’ve done all the idiot checking. From what I can tell, it should be working, it just isn’t.

June 18, 2008 at 2:33 pmfor what it’s worth, you’re right it shouldn’t be doing this… i haven’t heard of this before, but i have had ae do some pretty strange things. here are some things i would try….
if you haven’t done so already, reboot the computer and see if that gets ae inline.
if that doesn’t work, move the preference file to the desktop (on a mac it is in users/[username]/library/preferences/adobe/after effects/8.0/adobe after effects 8.0 prefs, on pc try finding ‘adobe after effects 8.0 pref’)
if that doesn’t work move the whole ‘8.0’ preference folder to the desktop.
hopefully one of those help… if not, you might try posting on adobe’s ae forum just to see what they say….

March 9, 2010 at 4:16 pmHi
I’m having a related problem with CC Time Blend.
When I ram preview my comp I see the effect but not when I render it. This is because I need to render on a farm, due to time.
Is there another plugin or simple method to achieve the same effect which doesn’t require cached frames?Any ideas would be very jolly ace.
