CC Sphere problem as particle shape
Hi there,
I’m trying to simulate a liquid sphere explosion into a few drops.
So my idea was to create the drop in a layer, and then for the shatter/explosion, by using Particle Playground, CC Particle World, Trapcode Particular or even Trapcode Form, use this “drop” layer as the shape of the particles. But when I’m applying this “drop” layer as the particle type the result is only a bunch of white squares coming out of the emitter.
I’m almost sure that this problem is due to a specific effect I’m using for the “drop” which is CC Sphere.
Let me do a simple breakdown of my comp:
I have a 100x100px white solid called “drop” that includes:
1. Fractal Noise – for the fractal shapes
2. CC Vector Blur – to create a “liquid look” on the Fractal Noise
3. CC Sphere – to create the shape of the drop
4. Turbulent Displace – to distort the sphereSo, the result is a good looking black and white drop, and what I want to do is insert it as a particle type / shape of an emitter.
Why am I having this white squares and not the drop itself?
Thank you for your attention,
all the best,Pedro
