  • CC Page Turn: Can’t render page flip with full opacity

I created a simple page flip using CC Page Turn and want to pages to be fully opaque and non see-through. I set the Back Opacity to 100% in the effects panel and the overlapping pages look perfect in the comp. I render it out at:

    ProRes 422 (LT)
    RGB
    Millions of Colors
    Premultiplied (Matted)

and export. Then when I open the render, the page being “flipped” is see-through. Retried it several times adjusting the Premultiplied option to Straight, double-checking the Back Opacity, same result. The most frustrating part is it looks fine in the comp, it’s just the render that is having issues.

Any idea how to render it without the layer being opaque?

ProRes 422 doesn’t support alpha channels – you’ll need to render it using another codec, such as ProRes 4444 or an image sequence. Just make sure, when you render, to click on the render setting, and make sure it’s set to RGB+Alpha in the Channels pop-up.

As Paul has said, You are not rendering the footage with Alpha Channel.

    RGB
    Millions of Colors
Implies that there is no Alpha channel.
