I have two CC accounts. One for me personally and one for the company I work for. Installed CC on a late 2013 iMac here at the office and it seems that for some reason CC keeps changing the preferences on the …library/application support/adobe folder to read only. I’m wondering if it is because I’m syncing settings with my personal account. I’m syncing settings for most cc apps from my personal account for encoding presets I’ve made for media encoder, window layout, all that. When the adobe folder prefs within app support change it causes hard crashes for media encoder and within Premiere Pro on export, to name a few.

CC should not be changing permissions on its own, but maybe it’s somehow preserving faulty permissions from your other system when you sync?

I’d suggest running Repair Disk Permissions, then confirming that the permissions are correct for the preferences folder on both machines in the Finder before syncing again. When you sync, I’d replace the data in the cloud from a now known-good system.

    Hi Brian,
Yes, this is a known issue that has recently cropped up and has affected Mac users. We are working on a fix that should be released very, very soon. I apologize for any issues you may be having.

In the mean time, here is a KB doc that may help you in troubleshooting this matter: https://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/ame-premiere-crash-launch-export.html

    Thanks,
    Kevin
