I’m using CC Cylinder on an image of text and at the same time using CC Sphere on a black solid. This part i am succesful at. The thing that is throwing me is when i attempt to put the sphere in the center of the cylinder and rotate the cylindrical image around the sphere. I can’t seem to achieve this illusion. Is this possible. I realize AE isn’t exactly as powerful as a real 3D program but…

You can fake the look you ar looking for by sandwiching the sphere in between two cylinders. In the effects panel, tell the top cylinder to render outside and the bottom to render inside.

Thanks jas. I follow. I hate to be a bother but what’s the best way for me to link the Y rotation of the inside cylinder to the Y rotation of the outside one. You know, so I can keep the rotation animation seemless. I guess if I knew expressions, i could do this pretty easily, but i don’t.
    Thanks Again.
