    Catdv without Cache-A type of solution

    Hi,

    I know that a workflow with Cache-A or Atempo will make the archiving to and the unarchiving from LTO very easy, but would a workflow with just Catdv and a manual archive to LTO still work or is there absolutly no reference to where the files will be. At the moment we use Symantec backup to backup all our media and even though we try to make online proxies of all the red footages its terrible to work without a good search functionality with little proxies to view.

    In other words can i keep on using symantec to archive my catalogs from Catdv.

    With the CatDV Basic archive plug in you can archive to any logical directory and the assets will be tracked as being in that location. This of course could be done manually but involves more steps, the Plug in streamlines this process.

    Hi Matthew,

    is this CatDV basic plug-in a part of CatDV Pro or is it a stand alone software, that I need to purchase separately?
