    Hi all,

I just purchased a sennheiser shockmount/blimp/dead cat for my sennheiser 416. It doesn’t come with any kind of case nor do I see sennheiser offering it as an accessory. Since this cost quite a bit I’d like to protect it. What are you guys using?

    Thanks,

    Hi Marc,

I use a length of corrugated plastic pipe (drain style) and cut out a slot big enough for the mount, that runs about half the length (the same way the mount slides into the zeppelin). Keep the length of the pipe a little longer than the zeppelin and slide it in and out. Been using them for years and my zepps are good as new.

    Great idea.

I’m also looking for a case to just hold everything-blimp/mount/boom/shotgun/field mixer, etc. Just one case that I can throw into my car and go.

I was looking at a pelican case or something. It would be great to have foam in it that would accomodate all this. Is there anywhere one can find this or get it made.

Pelican cases come with full foam inserts that you can customize…great investment..
