Card adapter ( CF I ) – PC Card
Has anyone with a HVX200 tried to use a Card adapter ( CF I ) to PC Card instead of a P2 card…
something like this

Yup, I have. It won’t even show up. P2 cards have a SPECIFIC format that they require. The camera won’t detect the card with that reader. And even if it did, it would not be fast enough to capture DVCPRO HD. The P2 cards are 4 raided SD cards inside one enclosure, and they do all sorts of writing, and backup writing, to the card to ensure that not one frame is lost.
But yes, I have tried, and it didn’t even see the card.
