Someone gave me a a 7 inch LCD monitor and I didn’t know what it was for until I did a google search. It turned out to be a car monitor. It has an s video out. For kicks, I tried to plug it into my HVX200 and the pins don’t match. To use this an an external directors or additional client monitor, is there an adapter from radio shack that lest car monitors feed out from the HVX. I know I also have the RGB outs, but there is always someone that wants there own personal monitor.

Who’s the manufacturer and what’s the model? Did your search turn up any specs on the monitor? I’m sure there’s a way to get a signal to it, but we need more info.

It appears to be older. I can’t find a serial number since nothing is printed beside the S/N. Anyway it is a Starvision 7″ car TV and Monitor. That is all I can get. Maybe it is a knock off or a refurb.

    thanks for all the help

S-video connectors come in different configurations. Here’s some info: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S-Video Maybe all you need is a 4-pin to 7-pin adaptor.
