    Hi guys.

I’m trying to animate a car I’ve created, I thought it would be very easy, but the wheels are sliding horizontally when I make curves.
Where should the pivot point be?
Are there rules to make it look realistic? Turorials?

Please, any king of help will be great.

[Reloaded] “Are there rules to make it look realistic?”

The most effective way to create an animation that holds true to its live counterpart are to study the mechanics of the live body. A car’s wheel turn at the exact point where the wheels meet the hub, often refered to as the wheel offset depth. But there are a lot of other points that you should review prior to trying to animate anything that has a reference in the real world.

If this is for a commercial project you might want to keep an eye out for this plugin: https://www.heyne-multimedia.de/c4dplugin/indexx.php

A little expensive, but I’m sure it would be a huge time saver.

    Thanks to all of you.
Adam, I’ll take a look at the plugin. Thanks for the tip, is there a version of it for 3Ds Max? I friend of mine would love it.

There’s no Max version of this plugin that I know of. There used to be a plugin for Max called ReelMotion, but I don’t know if it’s still around. Their website isn’t responding at the moment. It also cost about 4x as much.
