Apply a De-interlace filter to the clip (if the footage is not progressive), Modify> Make Freeze Frame (or mark In-OUT in the same frame) and Export QT Conversion> Image Sequence.
Select the still format that you need.
    Cheers,

Start with the manual for more details.

    Export>Quicktime conversion>still image.

Your predictable followup to this is, “Those suck. How do I get better quality stills?” and our response is, “You can’t. You are limited to the resolution of your video camera which is probably less than 500×800 pixels and yoru shutter speed which was probably 1/60th second and your ability to understand and cope with field interlacing.”

Only problem right now is that it keeps exporting the image in a 4:3 aspect ratio, and is pressing the 16:9 picture. Any suggestions?
