Hi, I’m having some issues getting video into my system and then playing back. My source material is DVCPRO 50 24p native 16×9. If i try to capture at a lower resolution (DV25, as i’d originally intended) it tells me during capture that “Capture entcountered a problem reading the data on your source tape. This could be due to a problem with the tape. Capture has been aborted and your clip has been saved.” So I can capture at DV50 NTSC 24p (23.98) and it looks great and will play in the source monitor (viewer) but not in the canvas (sequence)without dropping frames. I have to go all the way to a quarter playback frame rate to play the clips in the timeline. Conversely, the little one second clips that the dv25 resolution gives me before aborting play fine at full frame rate in the canvas (sequence). I am running a G4 dual 1G with a gig of ram which is what FCP recomends. What I really want to do is work at a resolution around DV25 on the system that I own for offline.. possible? THX!!
