Capturing/monitoring audio to/from aja iola (bear with me, I’m REALLY new)
Hi, I am trying to capture from a Sony U-matic VP-720 to an AJA IoLA, and at the same time, monitor the captured footage. The video is capturing and monitoring just fine, and I am able to monitor audio coming from the VP-720. Instead, I’d like to monitor what’s going into the IO.
Also, once I capture, the audio levels are moving, but I hear nothing.
I appreciate any input anyone might have. (And when responding, feel free to dumb it down as much as you can…)

Assuming you are using FCP, since that’s what this hardware works with.
In the Log and Capture interface, click on the CLIP SETTINGS tab, and make sure that PREVIEW is checked:
