We know that the XL-H1 does not have embeded audio in its HD-SDI port, but if you capture using the multibridge eclipse using the cameras SDI port and also use the cameras balanced XLR outputs to the eclipse can you link up the audio in Preimer Pro?

I am researching getting a new XL-H1 and eclipse for a new editing suite and just trying to figure out if this could work.

Further more could you use a canon HV-20 and its HDMI output to capture the audio and video using the eclipse?

Any feed back would be great. Thank You

I gave up ingesting via the SDI port when I found the RCA jacks all muted when the SDI BNC is plugged in, I almost bloew a gasket. Having given up in amazement that the camera was Mute in SDI, I had not checked the XLRs. I assumed these were also muted.
A camera that has no sound when using SDI has no use whatsoever. If I want a Studio camera, I will buy one. But a Camcorder should have SOUND and Vision.
In the end I used the YUV port, and gave up on the SDI.
