capturing with timecode
Hi,
I’m working with FCP7 and I want to see the timecode running during capturing. It will help me a lot to write some important notes during capturing.
Is it possible? (in Avid it can be done)thanx,

Best thing to do, until this feature is added, would be to hook up the output of the Char Output of the deck to a monitor while you log.
Be sure to use the feedback link in FCP if you want this feature.

If you are capturing HD via a Kona card then there is a way.
With FCP and Log & Capture open, launch the Aja Control Panel and arrange the FCP windows so you can see the Aja Panel. Click the “Timecode” tab in the AJa Panel. When you play the tape you should see code running in the Aja Panel. This assuming the HD deck as embedded TC, I’d be surprised if it didn’t. This will not work with SD.
