I can’t seem to figure out how to use sony vegas 9 to capture my footage from my ATI TV Wonder Pro, which happens to be a capture card. I have searched a lot of forums and it seems that sony vegas 9 can only capture from a digital camera or some other type of camera. can someone please help me with my problem!!!

You will need to use the software that came with your capture card and then you can edit in Vegas Movie Studio 9. Vegas’ capture tools are primarily camera acquisition tools (as you have seen).

You’ve already found the right answer: Vegas Movie Studio doesn’t make use of TV tuner cards. It captures from OHCI-compliant / firewire devices.

Use the software that came with your tuner card to record / capture video and then bring those files into Vegas Movie Studio.
