Capturing Video Live in Vegas
We’re looking at adding video to an existing audio broadcast. Is it possible to have Vegas capture video live, while recording the audio? It wouldn’t need to be high quality, though it is a fairly impressive machine.

Absolutely. We do this every Sunday for our AM worship service.
cameras -> switcher -> deck -> firewire -> computer
We are capturing standarad DV-AVI of the live switched service. It’s then ready for editing as soon as the service is completed. Make sure you turn OFF device control!
