Capturing video from Youtube for mashup & showreels
Hello! I am trying to create an actor’s showreel on FCPX using clips from his various movies. The challenge is that the movies are mostly on Youtube Rental and when I rent the movies I can’t capture them using the standard software like Netvideohunter or Iskysoft. Has anyone found a solution to capture encrypted files from youtube, or netflix or suchlike? Not having any luck so far. Thanks!

What you are asking to do, as helpful as it is for the actors, is a major copyright violation.
Should you wish to proceed anyway, Google for what you’re looking to do. Techniques are out there…
