I need to capture video using Premire Pro in a way that I can then put the AVI’s onto a blank DVD for use in another editing program. Does anyone know how I could do this?

Data DVDs are simple enough. Chances are you have a program on your PC that came with the DVD writer. Just keep each AVI to under 4.3GB, call it 20 minutes.

However, you would be better off with an external USB2.0 or Firewire drive.

But why do you need to put them on a DVD? For use in another PC? If the same PC, what is the point?

thanks for the tip. the reason i am doing this is because i am transferring some footage from super-8mm film to AVI and then putting the AVIs on DVD and giving them to someone else to edit. I know it sounds strange but thats what my client requested.
