    Hi,

I’m trying to use FCP to capture old home movies from a vcr. I have the vcr hooked up to my pd150 and my pd150 is hooked up to my mac with firewire. I click on log and capture and after some fiddling I am able to watch the footage in the log and capture window so I know the connection is good. However, when I hit capture now it says, “Waiting for timecode”. I’m assuming it will never find a timecode. Is there a way to turn this off so that FCP isn’t waiting for a timecode and will simply start to capture from the vcr (through the mini-dv)?

    Thanks for any insight.

Make sure device is set to non-controllable device.
