Capturing tape appears slow
Chris Anderson
March 16, 2011 at 11:53 pmI recently did a clean install of both Snow and the latest FCP.
This is the first time I am capturing a DV tape since and it appears slow in the preview.
When I play back a clip in the browser, it plays ok.Any ideas?
Thanks in advance

Right. FC never have played the full fps on capturing.
That takes resources from the system and may jeopardize the capturing on a limited computer.

March 18, 2011 at 11:25 pmIf you get yourself a broadcast monitor it will play smooth on that one while capturing. But it’s really not an issue anyways.

March 18, 2011 at 11:32 pmThanks everyone. I guess it’s been a while since I captured tape. It seemed slower then usual but it works fine when played back.
