  • Capturing SP to Final Cut

    Hi,

I am having a problem with my Beta SP machine capturing into Final Cut 6,
We can dump out fine, but when it comes to capture there is no picture and no audio. I have set everything to the correct settings in terms of capture etc.

But I think it might be our black magic card. We have a Decklink HD Extreme.

Everything in the card is set to Blackmagic 8 bit NTSC/PAL – with PAL preferences set to PAL.

Everything in FCP is set to Pal 8-bit uncompressed – any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

    Ciao
    John

Trash your preferences for FCP… Then use the easy setup for 8 bit uncompressed SD that should be there supplied by the drivers for the blackmagic card.

    Hi Jerry,

Thanks for the response. The last time I was in this situation was a long time ago, I remember being able to find preferences in the documents/final cut documents files. But that was on final Cut 4 or 5 I think. Where do I find the preferences on FCP 6, because FCP documents just has things about English – Japanese etc, showing my lack of practice I know???

    Thanks

    John
