Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy capturing SDI

    HI,

I edit with FCP on an apple macbook pro (intel)

I need to setup a system to capture digital SDI (or SDI) the cheapest way possible as on a tight budget!

Can you get a pci card to slot in ready? Or do you need to use a standalone unit similar to what black magic offers?

    Thanks

Checkout the AJA IO-HD and the Matrox MXO2. I’m not familiar with all the Blackmagic products, but they may have an external box, too.

Yeah, the Matrox MXO2 LE is your cheapest bet, and it is darn good. I have the MXO2 (more audio options) and am completely happy with it.
