  i want to capture a lot of videotape from a live show without logging it all and without ending up with long clips. on the tape is the continous mixed output from the show. it runs over 6 hour. tc is time of day.

  is it possible to load a tape, set an in point, and tell fcp to capture the whole tape automatically in, for example, five minute sections until the tape ends?

  this is possible in other encoding software i use. can fcp do it?
