All of a sudden when I capture, every few seconds the video will stop capturing and the audio will continue capturing and that really messes things up. I’ve tried different fire wire cables, I checked the tapes and they are fine and I’ve tried capturing from a different camera. What’s going on? I really appreciate any feedback.

Tell us what format you are capturing to what computer and to what drives.

I am using a G5 with FCPHD4.5. I am capturing mini dv into my 250gb storage hd. I also have a 250gb hd for applications.

I am having the same problem on my dual 867 g4, mini dv, fcp 4.5hd.

iMovie HD captures the same tape without any problem.

I thought about using I Movie to capture but last summer when our hd crashed we lost it. Is there a way to download it?

    Jean,

The problem may be related to this:

    Are you using 10.4.9?

Not sure how to get back to 10.4.8. Does anyone know?
