Capturing Problem
I just recently shot about 16 minutes of footage with a Canon Xh-A1 and I captured the footage to Vegas. First off I’ve been using Vegas for a while and this problem has got me stumped.
When I capture it, it isn’t letting me capture scenes, but it is capturing the footage like every couple tenths of a second. I want it to be able to capture footage by cuts not seconds. Now I have 700 files for 6 minutes worth of footage. Need help thanks

Did you go into preferences and made sure that
Enable HDV scene Detection is enabled?You can take a look also at a free HD capturing tool
called CapDVHS and see if it can help out sometimes.Steve Rhoden
