  Capturing PAL DV

  I have successfully captured PAL DV 25i from our Sony DV Deck to MC 3.1 many times with no difficulty. But today, I have either forgotten something basic or have some sort of issue going on.

  So I’m creating a PAL 25i project. Have tried MXF and OMF, 1:1 and PAL dv. Digitizing directy (no mojo) into Avid. Picture has grey boxes (it’s not dirty heads, as I can see the deck on another monitor, image is fine) and audio does not capture at all. Yes, the deck and Avid are set at 48K. When I search the tape while capture window is open, I can hear the audio, but when played at correct speed, audio goes away? Playback of image from Avid also shows large grey squares with no audio.

  I can’t digitize analog, both due to low quality and the fact that our Mojo does nothing but lock up the edit system when hooked up.

  Hopefully I missing something basic here, because I’ve gotten past this before but now my brain is officially hurting.
