Capturing Non DV footage via Firewire
Does anyone know of cunning method of capturing non DV footage, say from Digi or SP Beta, via Firewire. I’ll need the Timecode and ideally Sony 9 pin control. Is there a bustout box around?

There are a variety of DV-Analogue converters, or DV-SDI converters… Miranda make good ones:

https://www.miranda.com/product.php?i=47&l=1Many (such as the Miranda ones) offer DV/RS422 control conversion. Otherwise you will need an RS232-RS422 converter to provide deck control.
