    Hi list,

I need to edit material shot with Canon HDV camera. Video was shot in 24f at 16:9. Wondering if anyone can give me a headsup on the capture setting. I selected 24p NTSC DV with anamophic checked. Footage seems fine but I am told I may have to use the Cannon HDV 24F codec for this material. I am using FCS2

My questions are: is this codec something I can download.
Does the above workflow sound like it will hold up through output or will I encountered some snafus on down the track.
I was also advised to use the advance pulldown option.

If anyone has some magic words I’d be very grateful to hear them.

    Warmest,

    Kevin

My first (and at this point, only) question is, which is it? Your subject says JVC, but the message says Canon.

    Apologies Ed,

Tired… it is the Canon HD camera XH A1.

    Many thanks for posting back.
