capturing issue
I’ve had this anomally while capturing dv from vegas 5.0 and a trv900. let’s say i capture a 5 minute clip consisting of 10 different shots. when I capture the entire clip, in the bin i will have 10 different thumbnails, representative of the 10 different shots. But wait, there’s more! if I drag any of one of those 10 thumbnails onto the timeline, any of the 10 thumbnails will contain the entire 5 minute clip. So basically the five minute clip is getting represented 10 times in the bin! very redundant!

I can honestly say I’ve never seen that happen. If capture breaks the clip up into pieces, they should all be different.
