  • Capturing HV20 ftg with HVX200 project

    Hi All,
I shot a project on the HVX200 at 1080p24. I’m using FCP 5.1.2, captured at 1080i60, reverse telecined, sequence presets at 1080p24.
I am considering using a Canon HV20 camera to pickup shots for a flashback sequence. The camera offers both 1080i60 and 1080p24… I would be shooting 24p. Would I capture that footage with all of the above settings? Any other special considerations?

    Thanks for any suggestions.

you have to manually reverse telecine each clip. JES has worked pretty good for me.

    What is JES?

    Try Google
    JES Deinterlacer

It’s a free app that easily takes a video file, determines the cadence and does a pulldown and then saves it as a new file for editing.
